Competences of the Graduate

By attaining the basic goals of the study program, the graduates of the master's study program (Second Bologna cycle) Health Sciences will develop the following general competences:

  • Ability to analyze, synthesize, predict and plan solutions and consequences in complex professional areas, including in new and unknown circumstances with a broad (multidisciplinary) approach, ability to integrate knowledge and solve complex situations, independent and autonomous, systematic and critical assessment of complex health situations.

  • Ability to innovatively contribute to the development and application of new ideas related to research.

  • Autonomy in professional work and in making professional decisions.

  • The ability to critically evaluate and evaluate the efficiency and effectiveness of selected methods and procedures; ability to act even in the case of simple and incomplete information, but taking into account social and ethical responsibilities associated with the introduction of knowledge and decision-making.

  • Communication skills and skills to operate in the international environment; the ability to explain decisions, as well as the knowledge and the reasons on which they are based, in a clear and unambiguous way, to a professional and non-expert audience.

  • In comparison with undergraduate graduates, it demonstrates a more in-depth and specialized understanding, a wider academic perspective and new competences. Demonstrating understanding of research work in the field of health sciences and qualifications for active research work.

  • Ability to manage teamwork, ability to work in a group, and tolerant acceptance and consideration of constructive criticism and comment.

  • Ability to critically review information and events in the local, national and international context and events.

  • Commitment to professional ethics, the ability of ethical reflection and behavior in the case of ethical dilemmas that arise in health and social care.
